Renewable Nutrients, in conjunction with partners AES, successfully operated a Phosphorus recovery pilot on farm in Ohio. The mission was to create a low phosphorus solid to be used locally and create Calcium Phosphate to be used when needed as a fertilizer. Ariel Szogi, Advisor to Renewable Nutrients, has published a White Paper titled "Economic Recovery of Calcium Phosphates From Swine Lagoon Sludge Using Quick Wash Process and Geotextile Filtration". The paper comes after a Renewable Nutrients Quick Wash Pilot with a major national hog producer in North Carolina. The pilot showed how Quick Wash can efficiently remove and recover phosphorus from hog lagoons.
